Thrill of Hope, Christmas Concert with the Columbia Chorale
Join the Columbia Chorale as we welcome our new Music Director, Jennifer Ferguson, to the stage. Presenting Christmas classics as well as new music, this will be a special night to remember. Get into the holiday spirit as we collaborate with a chamber orchestra of musicians from around the Wenatchee Valley. Audience participation will be encouraged for renditions of Silent Night and the Hallelujah Chorus. Hear exciting music from present day composers including Randall Z. Stroope, Elaine Hagenberg, and Ola Gjeilo, as well as stirring versions of O Little Town of Bethlehem, the ever popular O Holy Night, and more. Don’t miss out on this seasonal immersion and celebration of Hope!
A Grand Night for Singing!; A Colombia Chorale Showcase - March 1, 2025/7:00 PM / Saddlerock EPC Church
Celebrating the gift of voice and song, the Columbia Chorale presents A Grand Night for Singing. This concert will explore the joy of singing with excerpts from classic musicals, including Phantom of the Opera, Pirates of Penzance, and the beautiful Sound of Music. The exciting music from Wicked and Les Miserables will give the Chorale a chance to highlight soloists. The Columbia Vocal Ensemble will present moving performances of modern day composer Tim Takach’s Neither Angels Nor Demons as well as 20th-century British composer Benjamin Britten’s stirring and surprising Rejoice in the Lamb. This concert will include opportunities for audience participation. Mark your calendars for a grand evening of song!
Wheel of Fortune - Carmina Burana with the Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra / April 12 & 13, 2025 at 7:00 PM / Wenatchee High School
Experience the raw intensity of Carmina Burana, an exhilarating ode to fate and fortune harnessing the forces of operatic vocalists, two choirs, and a full symphony orchestra. WVSO joins forces with the Columbia Chorale, soprano Allison Pohl, tenor Jason Wickson, and baritone José Rubio for two performances of this timeless classic.
