Wenatchee Columbia Chorale Seeks
New Music Director/Conductor
Wenatchee Columbia Chorale is the premier choral group in the Wenatchee Valley with a 40 year history of bringing quality choral music to the area. With the retirement of Dr. Mike Hibbit, our director of 25 years, we are seeking a qualified candidate with a passion for choral music and a vision to continue and to broaden our reach to bring both choral classics and new music to a broader audience.
This season we have had an interim director, Dan Jackson. He has given his musical leadership to our community for over 40 years, most of them as choir director at Wenatchee High School and has used his leadership to help recruit younger singers to Chorale. For our holiday performance we had 90+ singers participating. We want to ensure that Columbia Chorale continues as a vital part of the arts community in the Wenatchee Valley!
It is the goal of the Wenatchee Columbia Chorale board to hire a music director who will support the growth of the choral arts in our area and collaborate with other arts organizations in our community. It has been a pleasure to partner with the Wenatchee Valley Symphony to perform major works on a fairly regular basis.
